Relocating from the UK to Spain can be a stressful experience. It can be difficult to find an organisation that you can trust that remains cost effective. Personal recomendation is without doubt the best way of finding a supplier of this service, however, in the absence of this it is advisable to use a large reputable firm (ideally a BAR member). It can be expensive but when trusting an organisation to take responsibility of your entire home content and personal effects, it is wise not to buy purely on price. Ensure you have an agreed delivery date in writing and that a Full record of goods is kept (make your own, and keep this safe). Make sure you are clear about the route and transport that will be used to ship your goods and any subcontracted companies used on route. Also be sure to fully understand the insurance policy on offer, if you are unclear, contact the insurance company directly.

If cost is a major factor it may be worth hiring a vehicle and making the journey yourself. There are a number of storage companies in Spain that can cost effectively store your belongings until you are ready to move them to your new home.
