• Chain Letter - All you have to do is copy the letter, put your name at the bottom, and send a certain amount of money to the people above you. The only ones who make money are the unknown names at the top and you might get a nice federal letter from the US Postal authorities as well.
• Envelope Stuffing - You pay money and receive a pamphlet of information that you can sell by just putting ads in the newspaper. The information that you sell is 'how to make money at home, stuffing envelopes'. Which is what you just sent money away for as well. It just goes around in a circle!
• Multi Level Marketing - There are many legitimate forms of this sort of 'direct-sales' marketing out there.
• Processing Medical Claims - There are also legitimate workers in this field as well, you may know a network of people and not realise they are scamming.

Sadly, the scammers are out there also. And it works as a pyramid scheme whereby you are picked up by someone and in order to make more money off on sales, you can have others 'below' you where you get a percentage of money. The only person who wins is the one at the top of the pyramid who receives the largest percentage from all the sales of people beneath them.

But most ads that you will see will be for a 'free' workshop that ends up selling software to you or you find ultimately that you need to go to school to understand the verbage used for the claim forms and you haven't yet 'sold yourself' to medical offices around you.
